A few notes about our Online Store.  First, (being perfectionists), we're not completely satisfied with the design layout.  However, with a little browsing around, (and reading the tutorial below), it is quite servicable and contains a lot of great products.  We're pleased to report that we've had many satisfied customers already - from across town to across the country.  One neat feature for locals is the ability to have your order prepared for you to pick up in the shop.  Save time on your errand day - no waiting for fabric to be cut!

Second, we are satisfied with the most important aspect of developing an online store - your security.  All the shopping pages are encrypted and stored on a secure server, (evidenced by a small lock or key, usually at the bottom of your browser), so any personal or credit card information you input is protected.  

Depending on your browser version and security settings, the first time you access the store, it may advise that the 'digital security certificate' is not one that you have approved, (or words to that effect).  If you get this, you can simply click "OK" or "Proceed" - That will add our site, (and it's server), to the list of trusted sites in your computer browser. 

As always, any information you provide to Scarborough Flair will never be sold or used for any other purpose than to serve you, our customer.

If you are willing to invest a little time to familiarize yourself with the layout, the Online Store is a great place to order any of Jinny Beyer's 150 New Palette fabrics, her new collections as they debut, as well as a number of patterns, kits and supplies.  Best of all, you may order when and where it is convenient for you, (like at 1AM in your pajamas).  We hope you'll try it out.

The store is organized into 3 departments;  Fabric, Patterns, and Supplies.  You will have a choice to enter one of these departments when you click the Online Store link.  Just be aware that in order to purchase a selection, you must be on that item's Product Page, (it will say "Product Page" on the blue header bar at the top of the page and there will be an "Add to Cart" button on the lower right section of the page).  If you don't see these, you need to keep clicking on the product links until you get to the Product Page. 

If you do see "Product Page" in the blue header bar, but don't see the "Add to Cart" button - you may need to scroll down.  Product Pages with large images, (New Palette), will take up a lot of room and the "Add to Cart" button may be 'pushed' down below the viewable portion.  Just scroll down.

You will specify the quantity you would like to purchase in the shopping cart, (not on the Product Page).  The default setting is '1', (1 unit or 1 yard).  To change that, just put your mouse in the white 'Qty' window, backspace to delete the '1' and type in the quantity you want, then hit the either the little "Update" button to the right, or the "Update Cart" button at the bottom.

After you have put an item in your cart, we have found it is easier to use the 'back' button on your browser, (as many times as necessary to get you where you were).  If you click on the "Shop More" button, it will take you to a page that has all products together in alphabetical order, (not organized in 'departments').  Of course, you can shop from that page, too, if you'd like. 

A note about the Fabric product pages - because the pull-down menus would be too large, we have broken up the 150 New Palette colors into groups of about 40.  All the fabrics are available, but they are listed on four separate Product Pages, grouped by colors 1-39,  40-79,  80-119, and 120-150.

As mentioned at the beginning, the shopping pages are encrypted and stored on a secure server, so shopping with a credit card is certainly much safer than, (for example), turning your card over to a waiter or store clerk who takes it out of your sight.  If you prefer, however, there is an option to pay by check.  The form asks for check number and account number - you don't need to enter your actual account information, you may enter any number (like '1') in each of those fields.  Just don't forget to send the check to the PO Box number on our Contact Us page. 

Presuming you're still with us & your eyes haven't glazed over - here's the good news.  You are not limited to the offerings in the online store.  If you are looking for something else besides the Products in the Online Store, just call or e-mail us.  We carry a lot more products than we have on the site and will be happy to do whatever we can to fill your order.
